LAS versions, past and present, are available at ftp://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/pub/las/ .

1) The first thing is even I am not so sure whether I am using LAS Version
6.5.1.2 or 6.5.1.1. Please see what I did to get the LAS tarred bundle.
