moving customizations from LAS5 to LAS6

Hello All,

I'm trying to port some customizations that I made from LAS5 to LAS6. 
Can anyone direct me to documentation on this process or provide some 
hints?  For instance, I'm assuming that changes that were formerly made 
in $LAS/ui/custom/custom.js now reside in $LAS/server/ui.xml.
