Hi -
It's a bit difficult to debug a long script like this especially when we don't have the datasets in question. What I would suggest is that you work through the script, using SHOW GRID commands, and plotting time series from the different variables, to see what the time axes are at each stage.

But I am able to plot xxu alone.  Error arises when it is multiplied with uclim_new, which is the result of transformation of climatological u velocity using @ASN.
