[ferret_users] veckey format: length limit?

Hi Ferreters,

I'm wondering if this problem is due to a limit in the length
of veckey format:

set data coads_climatology
vector/aspect/l=1/set uwnd,vwnd
  ppl veckey,`($xaxis_min)-6`,`($yaxis_min)-15`,,(1PE6.0,'' (cm^2/s)^1^/^2'')
ppl vector

I expected to see a label like "8.0E+02 (cm^2/s)^{1/2}",
but the final number "2" was missing.  When I removed the blank


  . . . ,,(1PE6.0,''(cm^2/s)^1^/^2'')

that worked.

A related question is, are font specifications allowed in a veckey
format such as "@AS[@SRcm^2 . . ."?  This seems to partially
work . . .  (I wanted a square bracket in this case.)
