Re: local time computation
Hi Yogesh,
Here is a message from the archives, answering a similar question. It
shows how to set up a mask to select just the daytime hours from a set
of data.

Hello Ferret Users,
I have satellite observations for each month seperately in netcdf
format for the year 2003 which looks like :-
name title I J K L
YEAR Year ... ... ... 1:119641
MONTH Month ... ... ... 1:119641
DAY Day ... ... ... 1:119641
HOUR Hour ... ... ... 1:119641
MINUTE Minute... ... ... 1:119641
LON Lon ... ... ... 1:119641
LAT Lat ... ... ... 1:119641
CO2 CO2 ... ... ... 1:119641
Here L is running index.
All above time variables are universal time.
Now My question is :-
Can we separate here CO2 variable as day observations (6:18 hrs) and
night observations (18:6 hrs) by using any 'if' condition in ferret
commands.
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Regards,
Yogesh
