Fprint doesn't preserve colour contours

Howdie,
The Xwindow screen in Ferret gives me colour contours for "H"
and "HGRE" in the following script, but when I view the Fprint output
with ghostscript, those contours aren't there anymore. (I can't tell
if the B/W version of these contours is present as there are too many
contours for "hdd")

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SET MODE METAFILE
FILL /line/key /LEVEL= "(-800, 1800,100)" hdd
go land.jnl 0
CONTOUR /over /LEVEL= "(-1,1,1)" H
CONTOUR /over /LEVEL= "(-1,1,1)" HGRE[d=hdHEISM]
CANCEL MODE METAFILE
SPAWN Fprint -l cps -o hd.G25x1BfPf35Ss1Bc.ps metafile.plt
!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I get Fprint to preserve the colour contours?

I'm running FERRET (V500beta1.1) Version 5.00 - 06/03/99
on Redhat Linux 6.0.

thanks
