* * * Announcing LAS Armstrong 1.0  * * *

The latest version of the Live Access Server (called Armstrong 1.0) is now available from the LAS Downloads page.  This is a major release with many new products and features.  It is the 1.0 release of the all-Java Product Server.  We recommend that all LAS sites running LAS 6.x upgrade to Armstrong 1.0.

This release also includes a prototype of "version 7" of the LAS user interface.  The new user interface, which is based on Ajax communications with the LAS server, will undergo major changes before it replaces the standard LAS user interface, but we invite your comments and collaboration in its development.

Please send your comments and questions to the LAS Mailing list at las_users@xxxxxxxx.

The LAS Team:
Jon Callahan, Roland Schweitzer, Kevin O'Brien, Ansley Manke, Jing Li, Jeremy Malczyk and Steve Hankin
