laserror.log???

Hello All,

In the LAS installation guide, under Debugging LAS, it says:
"Copious debug information is written to the file $lasroot/las/laserror.log."

I installed LAS 6.3 recently and I'm having problems.  "Copious debug inform
ation" would be extremely useful to me but laserror.log is not present anywh
er on my machine.  Do others see this log on their machine?  Do I need to tu
rn on a switch or do something to get this log started?
