password protection for raw data

Hi,

I am wondering if we can put password protection on certain type of
output data in LAS, such as NetCDF.  The idea is that user has to
provide username/password in order to download raw data from the LAS
server.  

If this feature is not available in LAS, what is the easiest way to add
it in?
