Re: [ferret_users] Matlab's parula palette (for those interested)

Hi,
Indeed we'll be including all of these contributed palettes in the Ferret distribution, and adding information about them to the FAQ's about color palettes. We will include the Parula palette, the mpl palettes that Patrick pointed us to in December, and the rainbow3.spk palette that Marco van Hulten contributed in that same thread.

Good stuff, Paul.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Patrick  Brockmann's work in providing a suite of nice palettes in the same vein(especially the Perceptually Uniform Sequential palettes).

I think they are planned to be included in future issues of Ferret.

Hi all,

Matlab has apparently moved to an #endTheRainbow friendly color bar called Parula as its default. In case anyone wants to use it in ferret, please see the attached. ….Quite detailed fine grained as I based it on the RGB values from here.

Cheers,

Paul
