Re: [ferret_users] irregular time axis

One little error!

yes? define axis/t/t0=1-jan-1952/units=days/calendar=360_day my_month_axis = {255, 285, 315, 615, 645, 675, ...}

t0 is from Jan-1 not Jan-15

missed that you had seen this archived message.

You need to define a time axis.To make life easy, call your year a 360 day year (ferret can convert)

So, a time step by days for one 360 day year would be:

15, 45, 75, 105, 135, 165, 195, 225, 255, 285, 315, 345

You only need Sep, Oct and Nov: 255, 285, 315. Each additional year would be that number+360

yes? define axis/t/t0=15-jan-1952/units=days/calendar=360_day my_month_axis = {255, 285, 315, 615, 645, 675, ...}

then you just use this new axis for defining your grid. Then you read in the ascii data ON this grid, and output an nc file.

Dear ferret users,
               I want to convert an ascii file to nc file, but the time axis is not regular. I want my time axis as
till 15-nov-2007.
As we can see each year got only 3 months value, so how can I define a time axis for this data.
I had seen the below link in user's group, but I don't know which way I can use it.

Thanks in advance.
