Hi Izidin,

Have you check this FAQ: http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/faq/colors-and-patterns

Basic ideas is to use /LEVELS qualifier to specify different sections of the data to be plotted and use appropriate paletter and/or pattern scheme. And use ppl shakey to control the postioning of key.
