Hi all,

seaching the web for backingStore and KDE4 will reveal. thatbackingStore (possibly together with Nvidia graphics)let the X-server or KDE4 crash. This is reported for Suse and ubuntudistributions. So animation on the fly possibly does not work

with recent linux distributions. This has nothing to do with ferret itself.
