[ferret_users] Ferret - problems with Fprint (gksm2ps)

Hi all,

Whilst we're on the subject of gksm2ps , I've recently had a problem
with converting *.plt to *.ps....

I have made my own colour palette to match the NASA lidar ozone plots
(see http://asd-www.larc.nasa.gov/lidar/data/tra13no1.gif for example).
I have included the contents of the colour bar (By_values) file below.

The problem is that the postscript file generated from Fprint/gksm2ps
contains 'NaN's, which I think are due to me specifying colour levels
for '-inf' and 'inf'. The problem can be resolved by using sed to edit
the postscript file (something like $ sed 's/NaN/1.0/g' in.ps > out.ps)
and the plot looks fine. But, is this a bug in gksm2ps? If so, do I win
a prize for spotting it!?

Thanks for any comments,

Paul

p.s. Here's my palette file
