Announcing the official release of version 5.6 of Ferret, with several new
features and minor bug fixes. To install this version, go to the downloads page
from the Ferret Web site

New Features and Enhancements in Version 5.7

   * Implementation of the CF bounds attribute, where axes are
     described by 2*N bounds, the lower and upper edges of axis boxes.

   * Ability to change the NetCDF attributes of axes, such as the
     calendar type and units, and ability to get attribute values
     with additions to the RETURN= keyword.
