[ferret_users] define modulo axis from existing variable for diurnal cycle
Howdy,
I have three-hourly data in a netCDF file that ferret reads just fine. I want to find the average diurnal cycle of this dataset, and I've been looking for a way to define a modulo time axis (of length 8) to which I can regrid with the climatology-creating gt=<my_diurnal_time_axis>@mod transformation. Do I want to (Can I) use the time axis of the existing variable to get the start/end/delta-t for this new axis, with a define axis/modulo=8 -type syntax? Is there a more generic expression for this daily-cycle modulo axis that I want?
Thanks,
Andy
