Re: [ferret_users] Colouring wind vector arrows with wind speed

Hi Dave,

I guess you will get an idea by looking at vector demo scripts such as:

color_vector_demo.jnl or poly_vector_demo.jnl

For list of all vector related scripts discributed with ferret type following in command line:

Fgo vector

All the best

Subject: [ferret_users] Colouring wind vector arrows with wind speed

Hi all,

I've looked though the online help files but I can't work out how to colour wind vectors with their wind speeds
My data is in one .nc file and I do the vector as below

vector U[,x=12:35,y=-23:-36,l=1:30@ave], V[x=12:35,y=-23:-36,l=1:30@ave]

The vectors are fine, I just can't find out how to colour them with the UV wind speed.
Any ideas on how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Dave
