gksm2ps and printing

Hi,

We recently purchased a new color printer (Xerox Phaser 860) for our group
and have noticed a "problem" with the figures produced from Ferret. The
colors do not come out as they appear on the screen, where they come out
fine from Matlab. As far as I can tell, gksm2ps produces postscript in the
RGB space while Matlab's print function produces postscript in the CMYK
space. The printer of course is CMYK, so I believe that it does not
convert the RGB postscript very well.

Has anyone else experienced this? I wondered if there is a simple
conversion tool (for UNIX) for RGB to CMYK postscript? Other suggestions?

Regards,
Dave
