With the introduction of TFLEX buoys in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans in 2015, we began to include hourly realtime data from those buoy sites in this page.

For sites in the Pacific Ocean east of 160°E which use NDBCs ATLAS Refresh system, we began including realtime high resolution data in July 2017. The high resolution data begin in 2011.

For TRITON sites in the Pacific Ocean west of 160°E, and in the Indian Ocean at 1.5°S,90°E, 5°S,95°E, and 8°S,95°E, realtime hourly data have been included since the late 1990s.

If you have questions, please email them to oar.pmel.taotech@noaa.gov

NOTE: If you do not see the High Resolution pop-up window when you select it in the Averaging menu, you probably have to unblock pop-ups in your browser preferences. On small devices like tablets and phones it should appear as a new browser tab.
