Satellite images of the Beaufort Sea show clouds,
sea ice,
and track the Mackenzie River discharge plume. 
Ice floes in the warming plume are visibly melted. 
Easterly winds push the plume further offshore, 
where it rapidly warms under clear skies
potentially impacting the seasonal melt/freeze cycle of Arctic sea ice.
