Penny,

The choice of Ferret vs PyFerret has no effect on the presentation in the browser. If this difference manifests itself between the current production system (which lists Earth as a System last when I just looked at it) and some test system, then there must be something else different about the two configurations or software versions other than using PyFerret vs Ferret.

We currently use spheres as our main categories with LAS 8.6.13 but wanted “Earth as a System” to sort at the end after Hydrosphere. Roland Schweitzer provided a solution using the sort_order option (<dataset name='Dataset1' sort_order='zzz') as an element which works with Ferret 7.5 or 7.6 but seems to be ignored using PyFerret 7.63.

Current order using PyFerret 7.63 is Atmosphere, Biosphere, Cryosphere, Earth as a System, Geosphere, Hydrosphere using the same xml as on the production system where the order is Atmosphere, Biosphere, Cryosphere, Geosphere, Hydrosphere, Earth as a System . Please provide a PyFerret solution.
