Bryan,

The host.domain:8080/las/ProductServer.do URL just returns a response with some basic information about the server. What you sent looks normal. So that part is working fine.

The bare URL host.domain:8080/las/ should redirect to host.domain:8080/las/UI.vm

The error message you get from that host.domain:8080/las/UI.vm indicates that most likely PyFerret (or Ferret) is not running correctly in the context of your LAS. Check the tomcat/logs/catalina.out and the tomcat/webapps/las/output directory for clues. Look in catalina.out for error message and look in the output directory for *_debug.txt files. If Ferret is not running correctly the debug files will contain clues.

As for the first question, if you don't get exactly the same response via the AJP proxy URL as you get directly from tomcat, of course the issue is with the proxy set up not LAS.
