Re: [las_users] LAS v8.6.8

All,

LAS should run fine with any version of Oracle Java 8 including the latest (191).

Do they want you to go to Java 9 or are they content with the latest Java 8?

All,
We have migrated the My NASA DATA website (https://mynasadata.larc.nasa.gov) to a new server environment.  I am being told that there would be an issue with installing jdk1.8.0_66,  that it is much too old a version, and would be flagged by IT Security.  They prefer we use the latest version of Oracle JDK 8 but plan to migrate the standard Oracle Java installations to a higher major version fairly soon, since JDK 8 will be going off public support.

Is anyone running  LAS 8.6.8 successfully with Oracle JAVA 8 or or a higher version?   Are there any issues using Oracle JDK with LAS 8.6.8?
