Hi, Actually, the missing time steps appear to Ferret as if there are longer timesteps in the dataset, not as missing data in the series. So if the user chooses a date where there is no data, it'll either return the data at the nearest timestep, or an interpolation between the timesteps on either side, depending on the settings in the UI. The advantage of the compact xml configuration with a range of dates is that the time widgets in the LAS UI have the nice year-month-day menus, whereas the one with the giant list of dates uses exactly that giant list as the time selection menu on the UI. -AnsleyOn 8/24/2017 8:23 AM, Roland Schweitzer
