Hi Ajay,
It's the unclosed parentheses in the variable name string:
   Thermal Stress Anomalies (defined as SST minus Maximum Weekly MeKelvin
In the dataset configuration, is the variable's name=" "  string complete?  I was able to confirm that  if the variable has a long name string, such as:

    <variables>
      <THERMAL name="Thermal Stress Anomalies (defined as SST minus Maximum Weekly MeKelvin is the long name)" units="xxx" url="">
        <link match=...


then the LAS product will work fine.
