Re: [las_users] Strange time axes

Phil,

I took a look, but couldn't get the OPeNDAP HTML page to load. Can you send us the output from ncdump -h on this data set?

I have a weird issue with a time that ranges from 1870-01-01 00:00:00
with 203070, 6 hour time steps. Here is the OpenDAP link from TDS...

http://nomads-d.ncdc.noaa.gov/thredds/dodsC/aggs/cr20cwatYr.html

It says...

long_name: "forecast time"
units: "hours since 1870-01-01 00:00:00"
GRIB_orgReferenceTime: "2007-01-01T00:00:00Z"
GRIB2_significanceOfRTName: "Start of forecast"
_CoordinateAxisType: "Time"

This is strange because when I setup LAS' axes...

  <time-t-6hr-20cr type="t" units="hour">
    <arange start="1870-01-01 00:00:00" size="203070" step="6" />
  </time-t-6hr-20cr>

I get this from LAS...

 **ERROR: illegal limits: CLOUD_WATER does not exist at T=01-JAN-1870 00:00
          Axis extremes are T=02-JUL-1890 09:05:02-JUL-2029 02:04

I am totally stumped. The files exist and there is no files for 2029. When I run the NetCDF subsetter from TDS I get valid data for dates
earlier than 1890, but not in LAS. Any clues would be awesome!

Thanks,

Phil
