Re: [las_users] Can't locate object method "getCategories"

Ferret Users,

I found an e-mail in the archive ( http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/LAS/Mail_Archives/fu_2004/msg00189.html ) and was wondering if a solution was ever found for Jean-Marie's problem.  Beside getting the same error message, we also share the fact that we are both using Red Hat Linux.  I'm not sure what Jean-Marie means by "a long-tag line".  If anyone knows, I'd appreciate an example which I can use to see I have a similar issue with tag length.

Regards,

John

Hi All,

I am trying to add the following vector composite to the xml configuration file:

    <composite>
     <wind_vectors name="Wind Vectors">
      <properties>
       <ui>
        <default>file:ui.xml#VecVariable </default>
       </ui>
      </properties>
      <link match="../../variables/curv_air_u"/>
      <link match="../../variables/curv_air_v"/>
     </wind_vectors>
    </composite>

When I rebuild the server I get the following error:

Can't locate object method "getCategories" via package "LAS::CompVar" at ../xml/perl/LASServlet.pm line 2639.
make: *** [generate] Error 255

Does anyone know why the LAS can find the needed method?

Thanks.

John
