Ben,

you must launch addXml.pl exclusively from directory las/server, typing:
    ../xml/perl/addXml.pl [options] file_in file_out

since Perl executable will search for modules in a list of directory, which
begins with  ../xml/perl
as you see:
 (@INC contains: ../xml/perl . ../xml/perl/do
ds ../xml/perl/install/lib/5.6.0 ../xml/perl/install/lib/site_perl/5.6.0 ../
....

Also, I advise you to run it using options --out_inc --in_inc and a blank file
as input and output file.

Beside that, addXml does not work on my system, a PC with RedHat 9, which has
Perl version 5.8
Module Parse-Lex, used by addXml.pl,  is too old and is incompatible with this
version.
