Hi, Mike..
I want to install LAS6.4 on an ES 3.0
system, and I installed following packages first.
Ferret 5.7
MySQL 4.0.20 ( binary
install)
j2sdk 1.4.2.03 ( binary
install)
perl-netcdf 1.2.3 ( RPM
install)
Date-Calc 5.0 (source
install)
Log-Agent 0.301 (source
install)
ParseLex 2.15 (source
install)
Template-Toolkit-2.13 (source
install)
Compress-Zlib 1.16 (source
install)
DBI 1.32 (RPM
install)
DBD 1.1021 (RPM install)
Because the perl-netcdf and DBD wouldn't install
with source, so I installed them with RPM.
Then I started to install LAS.
But when I configure the LAS, the following error
message occurred.
===========================================================
[vmdctest@vdcsvra ~/las]$./configure

I need to log in to the MySQL database. To do this,
I have to connect to
your MySQL server using a privileged MySQL account that allows me to create a new user account and/or edit the las database. Enter name of mysql host : [vdcsvra] MySQL account name: [root] Enter password: [] Segmentation fault (core dumped) [vmdctest@vdcsvra ~/las]$ ===========================================================
My cute boss think this is DBI and DBD modules
problem...
Could you tell me the version of your
installed packages, especially DBI, DBD and your perl version?
Do you have MSN account? Maybe we can talk
on-line.
Thanks~~~
