LAS 6.3: trouble with descriptor files

Hi LASers,

I'm having a problem getting LAS 6.3 to work with descriptor files.  The
descriptor file works fine in Ferret.  I've tried specifying the
descriptor file either with an explicit path or with just the file name
(no directory) and the file is in the FER_DESCR path.

I created the XML for this data set using addXml.pl on the first file of
the series and then editing the xml file to change the file name (to point
to the descriptor file instead of the netCDF file) and the time axis.
This has always worked before.

Running make works fine. 

In LAS I can bring up the Datasets, Variables, and Constraints. But when I
click "Next" to bring up the output the error that I get is:

 Can't find match target '/lasdata/datasets/bio_cdf/variables/CO2FLX' at
'bio_cdf' at ../xml/perl/LAS.pm line 613

Has anyone else run into this?  Any ideas?
