LAS genTests utility

Hi all,
I am going to add some functionality to the LAS "genTests" utility which
tests an LAS installation with automatically generated requests.
described at:

Specifically, I would like to add smarts which tell the test program not
to continue testing remote servers which are down (each request to an
offline server can take several minutes to receive notification that the
server is down).  I would also add a switch which tells the program
whether or not to look for the document URL associated with each data
set.

We are also interested in the general usability of the genTests
utility.  Do you use it? If so, do you find it helpful?  Do you have any
comments or requests concerning the utility?
