John,

Making those changes and running genLAS.pl should repopulate the MySQL 
database and your changes should be visible right away.  But there's 
always caching in the browser as well.  Try the refresh button.  If that 
doesn't work try clearing the browser cache, exiting and restarting your 
browser.  If it still doesn't work you can stop and restart Tomcat (LAS 
v6+).
