LAS Shaded Plot(GIF) Error in default.spk

Hello,

I've just installed DODS, Ferret, and LAS on a Dec Alpha (
http://mohawk.gsfc.nasa.gov/las) and I get the following error message when I 
try to view the shaded gif option. I've have checked all the environment 
variables and FER_DIR =  /opt/ferret and FER_PALETTE = "/opt/ferret/ppl".

LAS Error
