Re: More on access control for LAS

Hi, Joe --
Our apache configuration was also set up so the server userid
would be nobody.nobody. We tried what you suggested, and ran the
GrADS script outside of LAS as nobody and it didn't work. Nobody was
getting nowhere. We tried changing the apache userid to be www.www (which
is how it's set up on another web server running here), added www
to the /etc/passwd and /etc/group file and hoped for the best, but the
results were the same. So we're still stuck. Perhaps you could send me a
copy of your httpd.conf file and we'll try it with that on our system?

Have you tried running GrADS outside LAS using the user and group of
your
Apache server process (on my Redhat system, for instance, that is
nobody.nobody)?
