The file lasxml/ui/LASTemplate.pm contains a variable named MaxVarNameLength.
Change this to the value you want. Be aware, though, that long variable
names can look quite ugly in LAS if they aren't truncated. Also, a user
can get the full name by placing the cursor over the truncated name and
looking at the browser status line.
