Only 2D vector views?

Hi all,

Is there a fundamental reason why "Only 2D views may be used to 
create a vector plot"?   I would like to create vector time series
plots at a point.  Would a whole new bunch of code need
to be written to do this?  Is this planned for a future LAS?
