Turns out that the data had (fortunately) "YR" as the time axis units, so it
was possible to do a "CAN MODE CALENDAR" and use YLIMITS with a negative in-
crement (positive decrement?) and the results were perfectly acceptable. I
doubt this would work if one's time axis units were days or seconds, as the
labels would consist of huge numbers.
