Re: Announcing Ferret V5.0: shared libraries



Would it not be better to link statically against X11R6 and Motif?
Not many Linux users have Motif libraries.  (Though I suppose there is
LessTiff -- comments, anyone?)

I'm pretty sure one can't use dlsym/dlopen to access static libraries,
but it should be possible to use those calls even though you've linked
statically with other libraries.
