Limit on number of axes/grids

Hello all,

I have a user who is running into problems with what appears to be
a limit on the number of axes/grids in use. He has a large collection
of netCDF files which he often loops through. After about 100 files he
gets a TMAP error message and can't continue and has to restart Ferret.
Now, while he can cancel the data associated with each file there
doesn't seem to be any way to cancel the associated axes/grids and free up
resources. Concatenating the files or making a multi-netcdf file isn't an
option (I think) since there are a varying number of points in each
file for some variables.

Have I missed something? If not, then I guess I'm asking if this could be
added in V5 (out real soon now, Steve...?) or considered as a candidate
for later updates. Something like cancel grid? I guess with source code
to be available the limit will be able to be raised via recompilation but
it is still a pain to have to restart Ferret when this limit is reached.

Cheers,
Russ
