Re: irregular grids



First of all, your grid is not irregular. The latitudes are spaced every 4
degrees, so all you need to do is:

yes? define axis/y=-26:30:4/units=latitude yaxis

But for the sake of argument, let's say that the axis WAS irregular. The
easiest way would be to use the define axis/from_data command. In a file
(called for example, yaxis.dat) put the latitude locations:

yaxis.dat
----------
-26
-22
-18
-14
-10
-6
-2
2
6
10
14
18
22
26
30

Then, in ferret:
yes? file/var=irry yaxis.dat
yes? define axis/from_data/units=latitude/name=yaxis irry
yes? define grid/y=yaxis mygrid
