Access to the last climatological steptime

Dear ferreters,

I have some difficulties using climatological axes.

My following example is based on the FAQ 
"How do I calculate climatologies and climatological anomalies ?".

******************************************************

set data monthly_navy_winds

use climatological_axes
cancel data climatological_axes

let clim= uwnd[gt=month_reg@mod]

! let's see the month of november
shade clim[l=11]
! no problem

!but not for the month of december
shade clim[l=12]
! where I get  
! **ERROR: all data have same value: data are all flagged as bad

The same thing occurs when I use seasonal_axes for the last season l=4.

I very much appreciate any help.
