X vs Y plot

This is probably well known to some of you, so please share it with me :-)

I have an ascii file with 4 different variables: a b c d 
how do I make plots b X a
                    c X a
                    d X a

note: a is an non-equally spaced depth (it would be the "y-axis" on the plot)
