U,V,W polar transformation?

Hello,
   I have some U, V, W, wind data on a rectilinear lat/lon grid
(2.5 deg X 2.5 deg).  I know that ferret can plot the data on
a polar stereographic projection, but I would like to actually
save the transformed/regridded data onto a polar stereographic
projection.  Is this possible using the current version of ferret?
   I noticed on the web that this might be added to a version 5
of ferret?  Is this version available in any form yet?
