RE: [ferret_users] FGD_GPL: no active window

Hi Yves and Pratik

I had the same problem on a Windows 10 machine.  If you go to a previous post https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/maillists/tmap/ferret_users/fu_2019/msg01059.html

there is a suggestion to install pyferret V7.5.  Follow the steps (1) to (4).  This worked for me.  Hope it does for you.

Oops, I forgot Xquartz… Thanks a lot, Pratik.

But it got the same error message, even with Xquartz running in the background.

Best

Hi Yves,

It seems you need to install Qt and XQuartz on your macOS. Hope it will work.

Hello

I just installed ferret on a Mac book pro with macOS 12.6.

I used conda. Ferret starts correctly, but when trying to plot data, I got :

FGD_GPL: no active window

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks

Yves.
