Re: [ferret_users] pyferret on remote machine not plotting

Dear Ryo,

indeed, I have the same problem.
In step 3, the shade opens the window, but it remains empty.

Is there a solution for this?
My remote machine is a Linux-bluster (CentOS Linux 7 ).

Yours,

Patrick

Subject: [ferret_users] pyferret on remote machine not plotting

Dear PyFerret users,

Has anybody seen this?

1. SSH-login to a remote machine.
2. Launch pyferret (v7.6) on the remote machine.
3. Plot something but nothing appears on the local screen. No error messages.

The classical Ferret (v6.94) doesn't have this problem. X11 is working fine. (I can get xterm on the remote machine to show up on the local screen.)

My remote machine is macOS 10.15.4 (I think) and my local machine is macOS 10.15.5 .

I haven't used PyFerret on my remote machine for a while. I've just re-installed miniconda and pyferret on the remote machine, and don't know whether this problem existed before the upgrade.

Regards,
Ryo
