Hi,
A big apology. A wrong installation step leads me to this surprizing error.
I have also removed an old symbolic link on a libreadline.so
made to run old ferret release.
I have now properly re-installed ferret and pyferret at 7.5 release
and they both works fine.
Regards
Patrick

Objet: Re: [ferret_users] ferret 7.5 script ERROR RUNNING SCRIPT
Hi Patrick,
I haven't tried Ubuntu, but this is the first I have heard of such a problem. There should have been some other message printed besides 'ERROR RUNNING SCRIPT' from what I can tell looking at the code. Any possibility the script file is encoded in something other than ASCII or ISO-8859 or UTF-8?
Best regards,
Karl
Hi folks,
I am surpised to discover that with last 7.5 release, I cannot run the simplest script from command line.
$ ferret -script t1.jnl
ERROR RUNNING SCRIPT
$ cat t1.jnl
say "hello"
It works with 7.44 release.
Tested on a Ubuntu 18.04 with Ferret-7.5.0-RHEL7-64 binaries
Am I missing something trivial ?
Best regards
Patrick
