Hi,
In a Ferret session you can change your color palette by issuing the
PALETTE command:
PALETTE rainbow
which remains in effect until the end of the session or until
another PALETTE command is issued.
To have this take effect for all of your PyFerret or Ferret
sessions, put a PALETTE command into a .ferret startup file.
In fact the means of setting the
default color palette is that it is the file named "default.spk"
in the directory where the color palette files reside. So if you
don't share the Ferret installation with others who still may
want the viridis to be the installed default, another method
would be to make a copy of the palette you want as the default
and name it "default.spk", and put that in a directory listed in
the environment variable FER_PALETTE.

Hi Ferret_users,
I would like to get the "rainbow" ppt as my default
colorbar.
Can anybody tell me how to do that?
Thanks
