I'm writing to let you know that I will be retiring from Federal service as of August 31. Of course, PyFerret/Ferret support will continue, with the community's help. After a break in September I will continue in a half-time appointment here for the next year to assist in the transition, and the group will be hiring a new person to support the software and bring in new skills and ideas.
This community has a great deal of knowledge and I hope you will continue your participation in the Users Group, pointing newer users to resources and helping out with questions where you can. We also ask you to think about folks you know who are good developers and might be interested in this new position.
