Re: [ferret_users] reversing of z axis

Thanks a lot Ansley, this is eactly what I was looking for to set the attribute as depth.
Problem solved :)

Hi,

It looks as though the axis needs to be marked as a "depth" axis. In the file, the coordinate variable needs an attribute

   ST_OCEAN :positive = "down" ;

You can correct how Ferret sees the axis within the Ferret session,

yes? use my_data
yes? set axis/depth `var,return=zaxis`

Then the "show grid" would have a minus sign showing the direction of the axis

I am facing a problem for z axis for 50 vertical levels from soda ocean temperature data . when I list the z axis it look good to me as...

so I am just confused that in data how this axis is defined I tried using /order=xy-zt but that was not working.

I hope to get some help

cheers, saurabh
