Re: [ferret_users] TMAP ERR: limit on number of data sets

Hi,

You may need to be wary that there was a memory leak that was only fixed in V7.1 when opening and closing many files.

If the files comprise a time series it may be possible to either create a descriptor file to join them into on virtual dataset (5000 files max) or  define an
aggregation (V7.0 and later).

Give cancel data each time after using file and then append.

Hello,

I am trying to list large number of files using the repeat command. However, after listing 100 files I am getting the following error:

**TMAP ERR: limit on number of data sets has been reached
             MAX=         100

The command that I am using is:

rep/range=0:19/name=a (rep/range=1:20/name=b (use subregy`b`((`a`*60)+1).nc;list/nohead/norowlab/file=subregy`b`((`a`*60)+1).dat x[gx=reg_x],y[gy=reg_x],reg_x ))

Is there any way I can get around this error and list all the file that I require at one go? I am using ferret version 6.96.

Regards,

Priyanka
